Overview
From 2012 on, the E-Z-GO RXV runs an AC motor driven by a Curtis 1206AC controller. This Navitas TAC2 kit replaces that controller and keeps the factory AC motor, so the job stays a bolt-in controller swap rather than a drivetrain rebuild.
Owners usually come to this kit for one of two reasons: the stock controller has failed and the cart is stuck in a fault, or the cart runs fine but feels flat on hills. The TAC2 answers both. It adds adjustable speed, acceleration and regen, Bluetooth diagnostics through the Navitas app, and a CAN enabled interface module built for the RXV.
Pick 440A for a lively daily driver. Pick 600A for heavier loads, lifted carts and steep ground.

How to confirm it fits
Find the controller under the seat and read the label. A Curtis 1206AC controller means this kit applies.
Check the model year from the serial number. 2012 and newer RXV carts use the Curtis controller; 2008 to 2011 carts use Danaher.
If your RXV has the factory Samsung lithium pack (ELiTE), this is the wrong kit.

Requirements and install notes
This is a controller swap on a cart that already runs an AC motor. The motor stays; the stock controller comes out and the TAC2 goes in its place.
Disconnect the battery pack and discharge the controller before you touch any terminal. Follow the Navitas TAC2 installation manual step by step.
Check the main battery cables and terminals before installation. Corroded or undersized cables limit what any controller can deliver.
Settings are adjusted in the Navitas app over Bluetooth. Dealer level app access is available to qualified dealers only.
If you are not comfortable working on a 48V or 72V traction system, have the kit installed by a qualified golf cart technician.
The 440A kit does not include the On-The-Fly programmer.
FAQ
Do I need a new motor?
No. Your cart already runs an AC motor and this kit keeps it. The stock controller comes out and the TAC2 goes in its place, with the interface module that connects it to your cart, so the job is a controller swap rather than a conversion.
Should I choose 440A or 600A?
440A suits two riders on standard tires and moderate ground. Choose 600A for a rear seat, bigger tires or steep grades, where more current means more torque. Both ratings work with the cart's own AC motor.
Is this the same as a TAC2 replacement controller?
No. This kit is for a cart that still has its factory controller, and it brings the interface module a TAC2 needs to work with your cart's wiring. If your cart already runs a Navitas TAC2, order the controller-only listing with the same part number as the label on the old unit.
How do I change the speed and acceleration settings?
In the Navitas app on your phone over Bluetooth, which also covers regenerative braking and live diagnostics. The 600A kit adds the On-The-Fly programmer, so you can change speed and acceleration from the seat with a key lock to hold them. On the 440A kit the programmer can be added.
Warranty
Navitas TAC2 AC systems carry a 24 month warranty from the ship date, handled by us. Proof of purchase is required. Labour, damage from incorrect installation, wrong voltage, overload and non-OEM part substitution are not covered. See our returns and refunds policy for the full process.
