Terms of Service

The agreement between you and Golf Cart Lab LLC covering use of this site, the free guides and tools, and any parts you buy from us.

Last updated 1 September 2026Operated by Golf Cart Lab LLCGoverning law United States

These terms govern your use of golfcartlab.com and any purchase you make here. They are written to be read, not to hide things. If something is unclear, ask us before you rely on it.

01. Agreement to these terms

This site is operated by Golf Cart Lab LLC, a registered US company. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “Golf Cart Lab” mean Golf Cart Lab LLC.

By using this site or placing an order you agree to these terms. If you do not agree to them, please do not use the site.

02. What Golf Cart Lab provides

We do two things. We publish free diagnostic guides, reference data and calculators for golf cart owners, and we sell aftermarket golf cart parts.

The guides and tools are free, and they stay free. We do not put them behind an account, an email capture or a purchase, and buying from us is never a condition of using them.

03. Safety and repair disclaimer

Golf carts carry battery packs capable of delivering very high current. Working on them carries real risk of electric shock, burns, arc flash, battery acid exposure, fire and crush injury.

Everything we publish is general information, not a substitute for a qualified technician who can inspect your specific vehicle. You are responsible for deciding whether a job is within your competence, for isolating power before working, for using appropriate protective equipment, and for the consequences of work you carry out.

If you are not confident, stop and use a qualified technician. No guide on this site is worth an injury.

04. Accuracy of specifications and values

We work hard to keep specifications, fault codes, torque figures, wiring data and valuations accurate, and we correct errors when they are reported. We cannot guarantee that every figure is correct for your specific vehicle, model year or configuration.

Manufacturers change parts mid year without announcement. Always verify critical figures against the manufacturer documentation for your machine before relying on them.

05. Orders and acceptance

When you place an order you are making an offer to buy. The order confirmation email we send acknowledges that we received it, and does not by itself form a contract.

A binding contract forms only when we accept your order and dispatch the goods. Until that point we may decline or cancel an order, in which case we refund you in full and promptly.

We may decline an order where the item is unavailable, where a price or description was published in error, where we cannot verify the delivery address, or where we suspect fraud.

06. Pricing and payment

All prices are in United States dollars. Prices shown exclude shipping, which is calculated and displayed at checkout before you pay.

We take payment when you place the order. Card payments are processed by Stripe, and your card details never reach our servers.

We try hard to price correctly, but if an item is listed at an obviously incorrect price we will contact you before dispatch and give you the choice of paying the correct price or cancelling for a full refund. We will not simply charge you the difference.

Sales tax is applied where we are required to collect it, and shown at checkout.

07. Shipping, delivery and returns

Our Shipping Policy and Returns and Refunds policy form part of these terms and you should read both before ordering.

Title and risk in the goods pass to you on delivery. Delivery estimates are estimates, not guarantees, and we are not liable for delays caused by carriers, weather or events outside our control.

Note in particular that electrical components which have been installed or had power applied cannot be returned other than where they are genuinely defective. The reasoning is set out in full in the returns policy.

Returns that are not caused by our error carry a 25% restocking fee, deducted from your refund. It is waived on exchanges for the correct part, and never applies to items damaged in transit, items we sent in error or parts with a confirmed defect.

08. Fitment recommendations

Where our tools, guides or staff suggest that a part suits your cart, that is a recommendation made in good faith on the information you gave us. It depends entirely on that information being accurate, particularly your model, year, voltage and existing controller.

Golf carts are modified constantly, and a previous owner’s changes are frequently undocumented. A serial number tells us what left the factory, not what is fitted now.

You are responsible for confirming that a part fits your vehicle before installing it. If you are not certain, contact us to verify before you order. We would much rather answer a question than process a return.

09. Intellectual property

The guides, tools, calculators, diagrams, data compilations and design on this site are the property of Golf Cart Lab LLC and are protected by copyright.

You may read, print and share our pages for your own non commercial use, and you may quote a short extract with a link back. You may not republish our content wholesale, scrape the site, or reproduce our tools or data compilations in a competing product.

10. Acceptable use

Do not use this site to break the law, to attack or overload our infrastructure, to scrape content at scale, to misrepresent yourself, or to interfere with anyone else’s use of it. We may restrict access where we reasonably believe any of that is happening.

11. Comments and submissions

If you leave a comment, send a correction or share a photograph or measurement with us, you keep ownership of what you submit, but you grant Golf Cart Lab a non exclusive, worldwide, royalty free licence to publish, edit and use it on the site.

We moderate. We remove anything defamatory, unsafe, off topic, commercial or misleading. Comments reflect the views of the person who wrote them, not ours.

12. Third party links

We link to manufacturer documentation, standards bodies and other external resources because they are useful. We do not control those sites and we are not responsible for their content, their accuracy or their privacy practices.

13. Trademarks and manufacturer names

Club Car, E-Z-GO, Yamaha, ICON, Evolution and all other brand and model names are the trademarks of their respective owners. We use them descriptively, to identify the vehicles and parts our guides and products relate to.

Golf Cart Lab LLC is an independent aftermarket retailer. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or an authorised dealer of any golf cart manufacturer, unless a page states otherwise explicitly.

14. Disclaimer of warranties

The site, its guides and its tools are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non infringement, in relation to the site and its content.

This does not affect the goods you buy. Products sold by us carry the manufacturer warranty supplied with them, and nothing in these terms removes any statutory right you have as a consumer under applicable law.

15. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Golf Cart Lab LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, arising from your use of this site or its content.

This includes damage to a cart, controller, motor, battery pack, charger or other component, and any cost of repair or replacement resulting from work you carry out after reading a guide on this site.

For goods you purchase from us, our total liability in connection with an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Where liability arises from use of the free site content rather than a purchase, it is limited to one hundred United States dollars.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

16. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Golf Cart Lab LLC against claims, losses and reasonable legal costs arising from your misuse of the site, your breach of these terms, or your infringement of someone else’s rights.

17. Changes, suspension and termination

We may update these terms. The date at the top of the page shows when they last changed, and material changes will be flagged on the site. Terms that applied at the time of your order continue to govern that order.

We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the site, including individual guides or tools, at any time.

18. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules.

The state and federal courts located in the State of Wyoming have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these terms, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any competent court to protect its intellectual property.

If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer law in your place of residence.

19. General terms and contact

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy and Returns policy, are the entire agreement between us.
