Conversion Kits
Complete controller kits with the harness and hardware for a specific cart. Kits remove most of the guesswork of a bare-controller swap.

Choosing a golf cart conversion kit
Every kit on this page is built for one cart and one stock controller, so the first job is knowing which you have. The part number on the controller label (Curtis 1206HB, Curtis 1510, Moric 26 pin and so on) settles it faster than the model year or the body style. If the label is gone, the serial number lookup returns the make, model and year from the serial plate, and the pack voltage narrows it to one kit.
Three kinds of kit, three different jobs
- TSX 3.0 controller kits (keep your DC motor). A Navitas TSX 3.0 controller with a plug-in harness and programmer. It replaces the stock Curtis, Sevcon or Moric controller and adds adjustable speed, acceleration and app control. The smallest install of the three.
- DC to AC conversion kits. Navitas TAC2 and TAC3, Alltrax AC1, and Eco Battery kits replace the controller and motor with a matched AC system. The cart holds its speed on climbs and gains regenerative braking. It is the biggest change to how the cart drives.
- AC controller kits. For carts that already run AC, such as the E-Z-GO RXV, S4 and L6, the Yamaha Drive2 AC and the ICON. A tunable Navitas TAC2 or documented Alltrax AC1 kit replaces the stock AC controls and the motor stays.
440A, 600A or 850A
Most kits come in more than one rating. 440A suits two riders on gentle ground. 600A is the pick for a rear seat, a lift with larger tires or regular hills. The TAC3 850A 7.5kW kits are for steep ground, towing or a heavy cart every day, and they only make sense when the battery pack, cables and brakes are built for the extra current. The controller amp calculator sizes this for your weight and terrain and shows its reasoning.
Before you order
A new kit pulls more current than the stock setup, so a tired battery pack will make it feel weak. Check the pack with the battery voltage chart first. If you are moving to lithium at the same time, the charger has to match the new pack. Spare harnesses, phase wires and On-The-Fly programmers are in harnesses and programmers.

Conversion Kits FAQ
What is a golf cart conversion kit?
A matched set of parts that changes how one specific cart drives: a new controller, the harness that plugs it into the cart and a programmer, plus an AC motor in the DC to AC kits. Each kit is built for one controller, one plug and one voltage, so kits for different carts are not interchangeable.
Do I need a full AC conversion, or will a controller kit do?
A healthy cart that feels flat with two people aboard is usually well served by a TSX 3.0 controller kit, which keeps the DC motor. A cart that climbs, tows or carries four people every day is where a DC to AC conversion earns its keep, because the AC system holds speed under load and adds regenerative braking.
How do I know which conversion kit fits my cart?
Match three facts to the product title: the cart model, the part number on the stock controller label, and the pack voltage. The controller label wins over the year or body style. If the label is missing, run the serial through the serial number lookup to confirm the model first.
Is there a conversion kit for a 36V golf cart?
Yes. TSX 3.0 controller kits are offered in 36V for the E-Z-GO DCS and PDS, E-Z-GO and other series carts, the Star EV Classic and the Yamaha G14 and G16. Most of the AC kits are built for 48V carts, so a 36V cart going AC usually changes its battery pack at the same time.
Can I install a conversion kit myself?
Most owners who are comfortable disconnecting the pack and working with heavy battery cables install a TSX 3.0 kit themselves, because the harness plugs into the stock connectors. A DC to AC kit is a bigger job that also swaps the motor. Where the manufacturer publishes an installation manual, the product page links it, so you can read it before you order.
