Overview
The DC Yamaha G29, sold as the Drive, uses a Moric controller. This Navitas kit replaces the DC motor and that controller with a Navitas 4kW AC motor and a CAN enabled TAC2 controller, turning the cart into a modern AC drivetrain with regenerative braking and Bluetooth diagnostics.
The kit includes the motor, controller, Yamaha interface module, On-The-Fly programmer, mounting plate and hardware, and the motor phase and sensor cables. Choose 440A for a strong all-round cart or 600A for more torque under load.
Be careful with one detail. The Moric controllers on the G22 and the G29 look almost the same, but only the G29 takes this kit. Count the pins (see "How to confirm it fits").

Unplug and inspect the Moric controller connector. 26 pins in 2 rows means G29, and this kit fits.
23 pins in 3 rows means a G22. This kit will not fit that cart.
Use the Yamaha serial lookup to confirm the model, and send us a photo of the connector if you are unsure.

Requirements and install notes
This is a full drivetrain conversion. The DC motor and the stock controller both come out, and the Navitas AC motor and TAC2 controller go in.
Disconnect the battery pack and discharge the controller before you touch any terminal. Follow the Navitas TAC2 installation manual step by step.
Check the main battery cables, terminals and solenoid before installation. Worn wiring limits what any AC system can deliver.
The On-The-Fly programmer lets the driver adjust speed, acceleration and regenerative braking on the move, with a key lock to hold the settings. Deeper settings are adjusted in the Navitas app over Bluetooth.
Plan on a half day or more for a first-time install. If you are not comfortable working on a 48V traction system, have the kit installed by a qualified golf cart technician.

Which Yamaha carts does this kit fit?
