How to confirm it fits
Read the label on your controller. A Curtis 1515 means the Excel system.
IQ carts carry a Curtis 1510 or 1510A and take the Curtis 1510AS controller instead.
Check the pack voltage. Six 8V or four 12V batteries make a 48V pack.
Send us a photo of the label if it is hard to read and we will match it for you.

Requirements and install notes
Switch the cart to Tow and disconnect the battery pack before you touch any terminal.
Label each heavy cable (B+, B-, M-, F1 and F2) before you take it off the old controller, so every one goes back on the same post.
Test the motor and the main solenoid before fitting. A shorted motor or a failed solenoid is the usual reason a replacement controller fails early.
Check the harness connectors for corroded, loose, burnt or missing pins before you plug them in.
If you are not comfortable working on a 48V traction system, have the controller fitted by a golf cart technician.
FAQ
What does speed code 4 mean?
It is the Excel speed setting that allows up to 19 mph. This controller comes with it included.
How do I tell Excel from IQ?
By the controller label. Excel carts carry a Curtis 1515. IQ carts carry a Curtis 1510 or 1510A.
Is this the same as my stock controller?
It is a 1515, the controller the Excel system uses, with an upgraded 350A maximum current rating.
Does it work with my MCOR?
Yes. It is built for the MCOR throttle used on Excel carts.
