Overview
The Freedom, Red connector sets one specific performance profile on 2000-2008 E-Z-GO 36V vehicles fitted with the Precision Drive System controller. It plugs into the controller J2 option port and requires no programming, no laptop and no dealer tool.
Freedom is the fastest of the four profiles and removes compression braking entirely, so the cart coasts freely when you lift off the pedal. Choose it for flat courses, recreational driving and utility work where top speed matters more than downhill control.
Manufacturer part number 76-73272-G01. These connectors do not fit DCS, Series or 48V systems, so identify the controller before ordering.

Set the run/tow switch to tow and isolate the traction pack before accessing the controller.
Confirm the controller is a 36V Precision Drive System unit with a J2 option port.
Insert the connector into the J2 port, secure the controller cover and restore the vehicle according to the service procedure.
A connector changes the controller profile. Verify that 17-19 mph and none compression braking suit the vehicle, terrain and local rules.
