Allied-specific gotchas
The BMS is the brain and the failure point to understand. If the pack ever goes dead-silent or refuses to charge, the BMS has usually opened to protect the cells, from over-discharge, a cold-temperature cutoff, or a comms fault, not a dead battery. LiFePO4 also dislikes charging below freezing, so cold-climate owners need a pack with low-temp protection or a heated option. And because Allied is a sealed system, there is no watering, no equalizing, and no hydrometer, the maintenance habits that keep lead-acid alive simply do not apply.
