Overview
The electric Yamaha Drive2 with an AC drivetrain uses a Toyota NEOs "M" type controller. This Navitas TAC2 kit replaces that controller and keeps the Yamaha AC motor, giving you a controller swap instead of a full conversion.
Everything needed to mount it comes in the box: the TAC2 controller with Bluetooth and CAN, the Yamaha interface module, a battery cable and a mounting kit with plate. After installation, speed, acceleration and regen become adjustable, and the Navitas app replaces guesswork with real diagnostics.
Yamaha built Drive and Drive2 carts with DC and AC drivetrains, so this is the kit for the AC version only. Choose 440A for most use or 600A for loads and hills.

How to confirm it fits
Check that the cart is a Drive2 with the AC drivetrain and read the controller label for the Toyota NEOs M type part number.
A Moric controller means the cart is DC. That cart needs the DC to AC conversion kit instead.
Use the Yamaha serial lookup to confirm the model, and send us a photo of the controller label if anything is unclear.

Requirements and install notes
This is a controller swap on a cart that already runs an AC motor. The motor stays; the stock controller comes out and the TAC2 goes in its place.
Disconnect the battery pack and discharge the controller before you touch any terminal. Follow the Navitas TAC2 installation manual step by step.
Check the main battery cables and terminals before installation. Corroded or undersized cables limit what any controller can deliver.
Settings are adjusted in the Navitas app over Bluetooth. Dealer level app access is available to qualified dealers only.
If you are not comfortable working on a 48V or 72V traction system, have the kit installed by a qualified golf cart technician.
The kit includes a mounting plate for the Yamaha installation.
The 440A kit does not include the On-The-Fly programmer.

Which Yamaha carts does this kit fit?
The 48V Yamaha Drive2 AC (YDRE2) with the Toyota NEOs M type controller. It does not fit a Drive or Drive2 DC cart with the Moric controller (that needs the G29 DC to AC kit), a G19 or G22, or a cart with any NEOs controller other than the M type.
Does the kit include a motor?
No. The Drive2 AC keeps its Yamaha AC motor, so the job is a controller swap. The kit has the TAC2 controller with Bluetooth and CAN, the Yamaha module, a battery cable and the mounting hardware and plate.
How do I check my controller?
Read the controller label. It should be a Toyota NEOs M type. If it is a NEOs of another type, or a Moric, this kit is not the right one.
How do I set it up?
Speed, acceleration, regenerative braking and live diagnostics are set in the Navitas app on a phone or tablet, over Bluetooth. The 600A kit adds the On-The-Fly programmer for changes from the seat; on the 440A kit it can be added.

Navitas TAC2 AC systems carry a 24 month warranty from the ship date, handled by us. Proof of purchase is required. Labour, damage from incorrect installation, wrong voltage, overload and non-OEM part substitution are not covered. See our returns and refunds policy for the full process.
