Overview
ICON carts that left the factory with a Toyota NEOs "M" type controller can take this Navitas TAC2 kit as a direct controller swap. Your AC motor stays in place. What changes is the brain: a sealed Navitas TAC2 controller with Bluetooth, a pre-installed ICON interface module and the mounting hardware to put it where the old unit sat.
The upgrade is about control. The TAC2 lets you set top speed, acceleration and regenerative braking to suit how the cart is really used, and the Navitas app gives you live diagnostics instead of guessing at beeps. Choose 440A for a stronger everyday cart, or 600A if you carry passengers up hills or run larger tires.
The one rule that matters: this kit is for the NEOs M controller only. ICON built carts with several different controllers over the years, so confirm yours before you order (see "How to confirm it fits" below).

How to confirm it fits
Lift the seat and find the controller label. An M type NEOs part number such as 48M350 or 48M450 means this kit is a match.
If the label is missing, unreadable, or shows any other controller, do not order yet. Send us a photo of the controller label and we will check it for you.
Model year alone is not enough on ICON carts. The controller label is what decides fitment.

Requirements and install notes
This is a controller swap on a cart that already runs an AC motor. The motor stays; the stock controller comes out and the TAC2 goes in its place.
Disconnect the battery pack and discharge the controller before you touch any terminal. Follow the Navitas TAC2 installation manual step by step.
Check the main battery cables and terminals before installation. Corroded or undersized cables limit what any controller can deliver.
Settings are adjusted in the Navitas app over Bluetooth. Dealer level app access is available to qualified dealers only.
If you are not comfortable working on a 48V or 72V traction system, have the kit installed by a qualified golf cart technician.
The ICON interface module comes already installed on the controller.
The 440A kit does not include the On-The-Fly programmer.

Navitas TAC2 AC systems carry a 24 month warranty from the ship date, handled by us. Proof of purchase is required. Labour, damage from incorrect installation, wrong voltage, overload and non-OEM part substitution are not covered. See our returns and refunds policy for the full process.
